   My first contact (extended contact) came during a 10 days’ work away situated in Christchurch. In exchange for a few hours work each day on the family vineyard, the kiwi couple provided a comfortable room and meals.
4. Que peux-tu me dire de ton premier contact avec des locaux ? Comment t’es-tu senti ?
   How did I feel ? Fine, actually. The couple were my age and our interaction proved most enjoyable.
5. Parlais-tu la langue locale ? Cela t-a-t-il posé des problèmes ? Et comment t’es-tu débrouillé ?
   Yes, as an American, we are spoke dialects of English without any mentionable problems.

   Volunteering by definition is a non-remunerated act synonymous with charity or altruism
7. Ce voyage/volontariat change-t-il ta vision/ton parcours de vie ?
   Would volunteering change my vision or « course » of life perhaps, I am the sum of my life’s experiences.

   How do I imagine the future ? without substantial deviation from its currents course, I think rhea future look rather bleak
